The Hangar Restaurant in College Park closed last week.
Scott Joseph reported last week that he was hearing the restaurant was closed but was unable to confirm.
Today a sign on the front door confirmed the closing.
The sign read:
CLOSED
THANK YOU TO
ALL OUR LOYAL
PATRONS.
WE WILL MISS U.
LOVE,
JEANIE, JOE, JON & ย THE ENTIRE HANGAR CREW
The Hangar opened this past summer at 2305 Edgewater Dr [GMap].
The location was formerly Wild Side and prior to that, Harmoni Market.
We’ll be sure to keep you posted on what goes into this location next.
Not that we can ever have too many sushi places ๐
Jade is just around the corner and has great sushi!
How about an awesome sushi restaurant
Thank goodness. This place was doomed. Understaffed which told me they had larger issues. Service was ALWAYS super slow. Food was ‘ehh’ for the price.ย I really wanted something to be successful here but this was like putting lip stick on a pig.ย Being a CP resident for 4 years we really need something fresh. I find myself in Invanhoe Village more than Edgewater Dr. which is sad.ย
Where’s my Craft Beer and Wine bar with small bites?
We vote for Dexter’s too! My question is, what is going to fill the space that was once ACE Hardware?!
A chain restaurant is needed to sustain in that large space with high rents. Or possibly a dexters that already has a large following. A start up isn’t going to make it there
I would love to see an oyster bar in college park.
Yeah ๐ I walked past it yesterday. Sad day.
Maria – was this the post-courthouse, pre-coffeehouse cram session food spot from last semester?
Prior to changing ownership (and opting for thin burger patties), Wildsides’ College Park location was terriffic, and had arguably some of the best burgers in Orlando. Hangar had some pretty big shoes to fill. It was an uphill battle; mediocre is a word I’d associate with their food and service. Rosario had a great thing going. Check please!

Dexters
I third Dexters.

Why can’t anything last in this space? I miss Harmony too.
Greens and Grille/ Cask and Larder part deux/ravenous pig II
A Dexters would be perfect! Jimmy Hulas would be a nice addition to CP.
owners were nice but the food was marginal and overpriced.
I’d love a fresh, healthy casual place. The kind you go to w your family when you don’t feel like cooking.
Definitely not another Italian place I hope!
I hope something other than a bar/grill, Mexican, Chinese, burger, or Italian place goes in there ๐ I miss Harmony! Something like Dexter’s would be good.
