ROH Construction Building

Broken Strings Brewery plans to open a brewery space in Ivanhoe Village.

The nano brewery would be located at 531 Virginia Drive in the former ROH Construction building [GMap].

The location will include a brew house and taproom.

“[We’ll be] focusing on refreshing summer beers for Florida including Saison and Farmhouse ales and delicious winter stouts,” managing partner, Troy Greer told Bungalower.

In addition they will be launching a barreling program to do some ageing of their flagship beers. Greer says head brewer Charles Frizzell will work with craft distilleries in Florida and Tennessee.

Greer along with his business partner Adam Peyrouse signed their lease for the building this week and they plan to open at the end of 2014 or early 2015.

Broken Strings Brewery is the second brewery to announce plans to open along Virginia Drive. 1010 Brewery is working to open soon just down the street.

  1. MichaelRizzo I would actually support that 🙂 But it would be College Park, Ivanhoe Village, Mills 50, Health Village and Audubon Park all at the Princeton Street Exit 😛

  2. I can smell the wings frying across the street at The Hideway Bar. I’ll see you in the biergarten!

  3. Bungalower This building is much more interesting & charming IRL. Glad to see it’s being put to an excellent new use.

  4. a) We didn’t say it was..note the careful wording B)As we’ve discussed most people will see it as Ivanhoe Village because it faces Virigina Drive. No one looks at city maps 🙂 I think it just causes more confusion to point out that one building that faces Virginia Drive is part of Mills 50 when the rest is Ivanhoe Village.

  5. starting my microbrewery has been on my mind as of late. even this morning as i was driving past this building 30 mins ago, I thought to myself… that rollup garage door and concrete in front of it would make a good patio area for a microbrew. Mind blow. (Maggie)
