Soco (Website | Facebook) is now open in Thornton Park.
The new restaurant is located in the former HUE space at 629 E Central Blvd [GMap].
They describe themselves as southern contemporary cuisine with a progressive culinary approach.
The menu has been crafted by Chef Greg Richie (also responsible for the changes and upgrades at CityFish next-door).
It includes some unique items such as grilled meatloaf on lobster mashed potatoes, deviled duck eggs and a cassoulet of confit duck and boiled peanuts.
The decor is more contemporary than southern (or more Co than So). They also has some nice local photography throughout.
They are currently in their soft opening, which means they will be offering their full dinner menu and bar service from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 daily. They do accept reservations.
Here’s a look at a photo tour of the inside of Soco in Thornton Park and a look at the menu from Wednesday evening:
Hope it’s as good as Hue
I don’t see that happening. Not that kind of restaurant.
Ate there for the soft opening. Beautiful ambiance, open kitchen and the food and service was fantastic. I’ll definitely go back.
eeesh. those prices. they better bring it!
Hoping they will bring back rock n roll brunch like hue had, we miss that!

NP. I think it might be because you have to go to the restaurant to take a picture of the menu. We’d rather have good photos and info and be the second site to report. Thanks for noticing.
Seriously you are the only source that ever posts a menu for new restaurants. Thank you for that. Isn’t that the most important thing?
Agree. Was a very nice touch.
Looks like it’s going to be really nice. Can’t wait to be able to afford to eat there
Soph So. You were wondering.
LOVE the b&w photos!!!
Fixed. Thanks.
