The Orange County Tax Collector (Website) is the first in the State of Florida to offer a service called Tag Express.
The service allows residents to renew their tag online and pick up it up in the same business day.
The service is described in three steps on the Orange County Tax Collector’s Tag Express page:
Step 1:
Renew your tag online and select the office most convenient for you.Step 2:
You will receive two emails: One confirming your request and another letting you know your tags are ready for pick up.Step 3:
Go straight to the Tag Express Lane at the office you selected with your photo ID. Your tag will be printed and ready for pick up!
If you do not pick up your tag within 2 business days, we will mail it to you.
Residents of all other Florida counties can renew their motor vehicle tag online and have it mailed within 2-5 business days.
Remember, the registration of privately-owned motor vehicles expires at midnight on the owner’s birthday.
