LYNX announced last month that it would be making some system-wide changes by April.

The LYNX Board of Directors will be voting on service change proposals at their upcoming March 26 meeting.

The biggest change would see an extension to the LYMMO Orange Line to the North Quarter along Magnolia Avenue, Marks Street and Orange Avenue in order to service the Marks Street Senior Recreation Center, as well as the apartments and businesses in that district.

Other major changes will be to add service on Links 10, 37, 56, 104 and FastLink 441.

Additional updates will include routing or time changes on Links 8, 11, 13, 18, 26, 34, 36, 40, 42, 45, 46E, 46W, 51, 55, 56, 57, 62 (LYMMO Grapefruit), 105, 106, 107, 108, 111, 208, 302, 304, 434, 443 and FastLink and 17-92.

  1. Glad to see LYMMO expand. There are other areas it can expand too, but these things take patience.
It would be awesome in the future if they converted all the LYMMO lines into streetcar lines. The original idea was OSCAR streetcars before it became LYMMO. Maybe we could have something like Tampa does with their TECO lines.

  2. Finally! Now let’s run that sucker down to Virginia, over to Princeton and up to Edgewater!
