OUC’s Renewable Energy Team has completed a new solar project on the northwest corner of Lake Eola Park.

According to OUC, the 11.88 kilowatt array (enough to power roughly two average-sized homes) is now supplying power to the OUC grid.

This solar donation from OUC to the City of Orlando is meant to offset the use of power required by the LED-lit, privately funded See Art Orlando (Facebook | Website) project that started beautifying downtown in 2013.
