The Mills 50 Main Street District (Facebook) and the City of Orlando are launching the second part of the popular public art dumpster project.

Seven additional dumpsters will be decorated by local artists, in addition to the 16 dumpsters that have already been decorated in the district.

Entries are open to all two-dimensional artists who live in Orange County.

Selected artists will receive a $100 cash stipend and all paints and materials will be provided.

The dumpsters to be painted will be located at Pig Floyd’s, Jazzercise, Alpha Graphics, Chevron on Mills and Marks, BMDM Direct Marketing, Trash Shack Events on Montana Street, and the Strand.

Sketches and slides must be sumitted to Mills 50 , 1200 Weber St., Orlando, FL 32803 or emailed to [email protected], no later than Friday, May 1.

Judging will occur during the week of May 4 and winners will be contacted by Monday, May 11.

All dumpsters must be completed by Saturday, June 27.
