If Boston artist Kenji Nakayama (Website), sounds familiar, it may be because his name was all over the internet because of his “Signs for the Homeless” initiative (Boston Magazine).
Nakayama would swap out the cardboard signs of homeless people on street corners, and replace them with professionally hand-painted versions of his own. The project grew into a blog that features Q&As with the people Nakayama featured in his photographs. To read them, click HERE.
Twelve21 Gallery (Facebook | Website) will be hosting the artist and his works this Friday at their new location in the Orange Studio [Gmap], in a show called The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over the Lazy Dog.
We had a chance to see some of the art as it was being unpacked at the studio.
