Universal Studios has launched a program that pairs tourists with local charities in order to volunteer during their vacation.

Universal Orlando Resort has partnered with charities like Give Kids the World (Website) to offer a visiting families an opportunity to volunteer at the Give Kids the World Village, a nonprofit resort for children with life-threatening illnesses.

Families can pay for a three night hotel package for $149 per person, which includes a two-day park ticket, early admission to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, and a four-hour volunteer opportunity at Give Kids the World. Transportation is provided to the nonprofit’s facilities.

Volunteer opportunities available in the Give Kids the World Volunteer Program include serving breakfast at the express breakfast restaurant in the Ice Cream Palace, serving food in the Gingerbread House, assisting with makeovers in the La-Ti-Da Spa, and assisting with character photos and greeting families at the resort.

The video above was done by local filmmakers, Strong Films (Website), which we’ve written about HERE and HERE.
