UPDATE: This project was recommended for approval by the MPB.

The Yard – Crossman Site went before the Planning Board on January 19 with some added changes since we had last written about the project HERE.

The developer, Chance Gordy, has added parking on Virgina Avenue and Brookhaven Drive, and the buildings along Alden and Virginia have been pushed back to allow for more pedestrian access.

This new project is to the immediate south of the the larger development The Yard at Ivanhoe (Website), which has already broken ground with the demolition of the Alden Street warehouses. More on that project HERE.

This second phase is planned to begin in 2018 and is still in the planning and permitting phase with the City of Orlando. The minutes for the Municipal Planning Board meeting had not been released at the time of this post.

Editor’s Note: In regards to questions about increased traffic, officials from the City spoke at a recent Park Lake Highland Neighborhood Association meeting and disclosed that a new traffic light at Virginia and Alden could help ease traffic concerns.
