With Walt Disney World adding a whole Star Wars build-out to their Hollywood Studios park, we think it would be perfect timing to start building a first-person view (FPV) drone racing community in Central Florida. It would be the next best thing to pod racing. Racers don special goggles that let them fly as if they are in the drone themselves. Share that feed with the spectators via their own goggles or streaming it to a big screen and you’ve got yourself a fun new spectator sport.
We found one group, Central Florida Drone Racing, on meetup.com but they haven’t met since last August.
