UPDATE: The Lake Alert for Lake Beardall has been lifted.  Resume normal activities on the lake.

City Wastewater personnel have responded to a sanitary sewer overflow that resulted in approximately 600 gallons of sanitary waste entering the stormwater system on February 12.

The spill is believed to have been caused by possible debris in the line at the intersection of Orange Blossom Trail and Washinton Street [GMap].

Signs have been placed around Lake Beardall warning of the possible water contamination. City Stormwater staff will be monitoring the water quality and taking bacteria samples over the next week.

For water quality questions, please contact Lisa Lotti, Stormwater Compliance Program Manager, at [email protected].
