I Wish This Was is a weekly series that transforms ignored, vacant lots and properties in Orlando into something the City Beautiful can be proud of.

A pair of non-functioning grain silos in Kissimmee are being given away for free on Craigslist.

According to the listing “You have to disarm or cut. Licence and insurance require it.” That being said, if someone could wrangle them downtown, we think they would be really interesting tiny house frames.

We’re unsure of the dimensions, but with some clever building, these could be real landmark pieces somewhere like in Ivanhoe Village near the upcoming Yard development.

  1. Bungalower , I can’t wait to see it. They have two of the top kaleidoscope artists in the country doing the work but need to raise $90,000! It should be done in a year or so.

  2. Just an FYI, John C. Campbell Folk School in North Carolina is turning a silo into a giant, walk -in kaleidoscope.
