Indie book purveyor, Bookmark It (Facebook Website) will be (kind of) moving out of East End Market this summer, and setting up shop at three satellite locations around town.

Bookmark It will be closing their current stall at the back of the market, in favor of selling curated selections at Infusion Tea (Facebook Website), The Lovely (Facebook | Website), and at The Gallery at Avalon Island (Facebook | Website). Cookbooks will still be available at East End Market, but they will be hosted by Local Roots, the beer and wine shop at the front of the building.

Bookmark It owner Kim Britt will be hosting literary events at all four new locations. Events in the near future include:

  • Author VarieTEA reading series at Infusion Tea which showcasing works by both local and visiting authors.
  • Wine&Sign Fridays at The Lovely, an informal meet and greet to discover new writers over a glass of wine.
  • Bookclub with an Author, will be moving to Infusion Tea, where local published writers lead the discussion of titles within their own genre, offering an insider’s peak into the writing process.
  • Little Local’s Story Time, where children can meet local authors

According to East End Market owner, John Rife, prospective tenants have already been inquiring about the space. We’ll be posting more on that later once documents have been signed.
