Gideon’s Bakery (Facebook | Website) a local baked goods business, will be taking over the new pop-up space at East End Market on July 19; which is when Gezellig Cookies will be moving out.

The owner of Gideon’s uses yummy secret recipes from a cookbook that was penned in 1898, in the diary of a young boy named, Gideon. The recipes have since been combined with modern ingredients to create something that honors their roots but been made more relevant for modern cookie-eaters.

Up until now, Gideon’s has only been selling online in small monthly batches that always sell out.

They posted the following message on their Facebook page on July 5:

“So exciting! We’re popping up a shop at East End Market starting July 19th and making our baked goods available to everyone, without pre-order, for the first time! Our ridiculous cookies will, of course, be available in addition to cake by the slice and more! If you’ve never made it past our waiting list your time has come. If you’ve had Gideon’s before you know this is a time for great celebration because you can get Gideon’s Cookies. Every. Single. Day.”

Opening hours will be the same as East End Market, which can be found HERE.
