"Paint Strong" by Nicole Dermody

The Orlando Public Library is hosting an art show in September, featuring roughly 300 pieces and organized by Sam Flax (Website). Each of the works was created in response to the shooting at Pulse nightclub.

Sam Flax has sent out a Call for Art following the incident, and the response was overwhelming, far too much to be displayed in their art supply store. They will be showcasing the collection of work at multiple venues over the next few months. The art will be auctioned off at the end of the exhibits, benefiting Pulse victims and their families.

Paint Strong Orlando will be on display at the library on September 15 through October, with a viewing reception on opening night from 6-8 p.m.
