Hamburger Mary’s Bar and Grille (Facebook | Website) is expanding their Church Street restaurant into the space left vacant by Church Street Tavern’s recent departure.

According to ScottJosephOrlando.com, the new concept will be called Mary’s Sidebar Cafe, and will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner service along with takeout options.

The owners previously had plans to open a second location of the GLBT-friendly burger chain at Mills Market in the former Segafredo’s building. Their plans were thwarted, however, by Whole Foods Fresh Market, who complained that they would take up too much parking.

  1. Thank you everyone!! We are super excited to open, “Mary’s Sidebar Cafe” in the next few weeks. Of course, all of my Facebook friends will get the details first. Stay tuned!!

  2. Agreed – the Mills Park location would have been perfect! However, so happy for Hamburger Mary Orlando and their continued success – John and Mike are great owners and members of our community. #supportlocal
