The Audubon Park Garden District (Facebook | Website) is planting a songbird sanctuary as part of their efforts to become the first “eco-district” in Central Florida.

Volunteers can come to Songbird Park at 1124 Cardinal Road [GMap], across from the Audubon Park Covenant Church, on Saturday, October 29 at 9 a.m. to help plant native shrubs, ground covers, and flowers. All plants have been donated by the City’s GreenUp Orlando program.

This is the first of many such parklets to be installed across the Main Street District.
