The City has found space to relocate the Boy Scouts, out of their current home at Lake Lorna Doone Park, across from Camping World Stadium.

The relocation is part of a larger effort being spurred by LIFT Orlando (Website) and City officials to renovate the 12-acre park. The park will see a number of improvements and changes, including the closure of a piece of South Rio Grande Avenue.

The plans also include a new walking loop, a playground, a pier for fishing, new bathrooms and lighting, and sculptures. The existing basketball courts will be renovated and a new futsal court will be added.

Plans will be up for review in December.
