Once a year the City of Orlando and a gaggle of volunteers paddle across Lake Eola and herd all of the swans into a pen to be counted, weighted, and fully examined by a doctor and given their inoculations.

This year’s roundup is scheduled for 7 a.m. Saturday, November 19. Volunteers have already been vetted and trained for this year’s event but if you would like to sign up for next year simply reach out to the Lake Eola Park Office at 407-246-4484 to sign up.

There are approximately 60 swans in Lake Eola according to the City.
