Mills 50 District receives Mayor’s Matching Grant to install bike-shaped bike racks

The City announced the latest recipients of their Mayor’s Matching Grant cycle on December 11, which we wrote about HERE.

One of those finalists was the Mills 50 Main Street District which received $3,500 to use towards installing six custom bike racks. The racks, shaped like bicycles themselves, will each be painted a different color; yellow, orange, green, blue, red, and purple.

The racks are expected to be installed in March, 2017.

Locations are still being discussed with the City but the Mills 50 Design Committee has identified nine possible sites:

1. Track Shack
2. Corner of Colonial Drive and Hyer by Lazy Moon Pizza
3. The Center
4. The District
5. Dandelion Cafe
6. Downtown YMCA
7. Say It Loud/Orange Studio
8. Colonial Photo and Hobby
9. The Salt Room
