  2. I hear you, Shawn. Until 31 July, I lived in Winter Park, but I had to return back home to Rhode Island for the foreseeable future. The money they want for the house in this post would get me a rather stately home in a wealthy neighborhood here. The square footage would be significantly larger also. When I referred to somebody not being in their right mind for paying this kind of money for a house like this wasn’t intended to offend anyone, it just means that I’m very shocked to get so little bang for a buck when compared to what that money gets up here.

  3. Wherever you live, Ray, there is someone who thinks you “aren’t in your right mind” for paying whatever you paid for your home. It’s all a question of preference and income/wealth, both of which inform each other.

  4. By the standards that I judge the size of homes based upon where I grew up, this house is very small for that kind of money.

  5. Lake Eola Heights is absolutely gorgeous and I would love to live there, but the home prices there are just stupid. I can’t even imagine anybody in their right mind paying that kind of money for houses that are that small.

  6. Man, i love living downtown… but will never get over these insane prices. I moved from Oviedo, and near $500k would buy you a damn block of homes there. lol
