We often get photographs from our Bungalower readers of things that are happening around town, and we have started featuring them on the site in a series called Eyes on the Street, in honor of our hero Jane Jacobs.

Our friends over at Washburn Imports (Facebook | Website) sent us the following photo of a sign posted in the window of the gelato shop, located at 1807 N. Orange Avenue [GMap], just across the street. Twisted Bliss has indeed closed their shop. We reached out to the owner, Teal Bowser, but at the time of this post had not heard back about the reason behind the closure.

We are not sure what will be replacing it but renovation work has already begun on the formerly tie-dye-inspired gelato shop with trees, rainbow fencing, and patio build-out already removed.

Trevi Pasta Express (Facebook) is located up the street and serves their own signature gelato.

  1. Not a surprise, they were barely ever open and I saw them put the business up for sale on Craigslist numerous times.
