The owners of Mai Bistro (Facebook | Website) have applied a Business Assistance Program Agreement with the City of Orlando.

The space, located at 1826 E. Colonial Drive [GMap], was once the home of the Church of Scientology so the owners have also had to file for a Change of Use permit to change it from church to restaurant. The entire interior will be renovated, including the kitchen, plumbing, drainage, new gas line, and new flooring.

The BAP program pays for half of a projects eligible fees, and Mai Bistro is applying for over $19,000.

Mai will specialize in classic Vietnamese street food and boba, according to their website.
