The City of Orlando has released the following transit information in order to navigate through Downtown Orlando for this Sunday’s season opener game at the new Orlando City Soccer Stadium. This is the Lion’s third MLS season, and the first in the new stadium.

Game-goers are encouraged to take alternative modes of transportation, like LYMMO, bike share, and carpooling.

SunRail is offering Saturday service starting from the DeBary station at 1:30 p.m., with the last training leaving the Sand Lake Road station at 9 p.m. Scroll down to see the schedule.

RECOMMENDED ROUTES TO DOWNTOWN AND PARKING OPTIONS:

 

Fans are encouraged to plan their routes ahead of time and encouraged to come Downtown early to allow plenty of time to enjoy the game day atmosphere throughout the area.

 

With construction underway on I-4 and the 408, the City recommends the following routes if traveling into Downtown via highway:

 

Driving Directions from Interstate 4

Coming from the West on I-4:

Exit at Amelia Street (83A), take a right onto Amelia Street, then take a right onto Orange Avenue.  Multiple City garages can be accessed on both the west and east side from Orange Avenue heading in this southbound direction.

 

Coming from the East on I-4:

Exit at Colonial (84), take a left onto Colonial, then a right onto Orange Avenue.  Multiple City garages can be accessed from both the west and east side of Orange Avenue heading in this southbound direction.

 

Alternatively, after exiting at Colonial (84), proceed straight onto to Hughey.  Multiple City garages can be accessed from both the west and east side of Hughey heading in this southbound direction.

 

Driving Directions from the 408

Coming from the East on 408:

Take the Rosalind Avenue exit (11A), turn left onto South Street, then right onto Rosalind Avenue.  Multiple City garages can be accessed from both the west and east side of Rosalind Avenue heading in this northbound direction.

 

Coming from West on 408:

Take the Orange Avenue exit, (10C), turn right onto Orange Avenue which will become Rosalind Avenue. Multiple City garages can be accessed from both the west and east side of Rosalind Avenue heading in this northbound direction.

  • Orange Lot (ADA only): Located on the corner of S. Terry Avenue and Central Boulevard
  • Geico Garage: 433 S. Division Avenue
  • Grove Park Lot: Located on Central Boulevard between S. Terry Avenue and Division Avenue

  • SunTrust Center Garage: 25 W. South Street

ROAD CLOSURES:

On match day a number of local roads around the perimeter of the Stadium will be closed. The roads will remain closed throughout the match and will not reopen until approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour after the final whistle.

 

  • Central Boulevard from Westmoreland Drive to Glenn Lane
    • Closure begins at 2:30 pm until 1 hour post-game
  • West bound Central Boulevard from S. Terry Avenue to Hughley Avenue
    • Closure begins at kickoff (5 pm) until 1 hour post-game
  • Church Street from Westmoreland Drive to Glenn Lane
    • Closure begins at 2:30 pm until 1 hour post-game
  • Church Street from Glenn Lane to S. Terry Avenue
    • Road closure begins at noon until 1 hour post-game
  • Church Street from S. Terry Avenue to S. Division Avenue
    • Road closure begins at 2:30 pm until 1 hour post-game
  • Glenn Lane from Church Street to Central Boulevard
    • Road closure begins at 2:30 pm until 1 hour post-game
  • S. Terry Avenue from Church Street to Central Boulevard
    • Road closure begins at 2:30 pm until 1 hour post-game
  • Pine Street from stadium site to partial closure near Division Avenue
    • Road closure begins at 2:30 pm until 1 hour post-game

Detour signs will be clearly posted before and along detour routes.
