We often get photographs and tips from our Bungalower readers of things that are happening around town, so we have started featuring them on the site in a series called Eyes on the Street, in honor of our favorite urbanist Jane Jacobs.

Loyal Bungalower reader, Janessa Gursky, sent us the following message and a photo from a recent visit to a Parramore cultural institution.

“Did you know the Wells’ Built Museum is renting office space in the historic hotel?!! Senator Geraldine Thompson said she has 6 available offices available to rent right now nest to Ray Charles’ bedroom!!!” – Janessa Gursky

According to the property manager, Premiere Management Group (Website), the offices are labeled as “mini office suites” and are renting for $300 a month, with a $50 application fee, and a $300 security deposit. Electric is included, but tenants are responsible for their own telephone and internet services.

The offices have bathroom access and a shared conference room on the second floor of the building, just above the Well’s Built Museum of African-American History and Culture (Website).

The museum building, once a hotel, is located a block west of the Amway Center, at 511 W. South St. [GMap].
