The Department of Transportation will be temporarily closing the Orange Avenue exit for State Road 408 some time next summer.
The closure will create a 2-mile detour, sending drivers to South Mills Avenue and northward to South Street, in order to get to Downtown Orlando.
The project, according to a report by the Orlando Sentinel, could begin as early as May 2018. Click HERE to read the Sentinel‘s full report.
The Orange ave exit has no toll, but Mills does. Any idea if they’re going to lift the east bound Mills toll for this time period?
Too bad there isn’t a “Texas U-Turn” at Mills.
