A pop-up plant shop will be opening in the former home of Fairwater Florist, at 985 W. Fairbanks Avenue [GMap], featuring all-native plants.

Horticulturalist and Landscaper, Amanda Martin, is the owner and operator of Grounded Solutions, Inc. (Website), which offers design and consulting services for eco-minded landscapes for residential properties. Martin’s mantra is “right plants for the right place” and this is her first pop-up effort.

Grounded Solutions will offer roughly 50 species of plants, including groundcovers, vines, wildflowers, small shrubs, big shrubs, and some small trees. All of the plans will be native to Florida and sourced from Green Isle Gardens (Website) in Groveland.

Prices will likely run $5-6 for a one gallon plant.

Store hours will be 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Thursday-Friday, and 9 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday. Martin will also open the shop for private consultations by appointment only. Evening classes will also be offered.

The Grounded Solutions pop-up native plant shop is expected to be open either Friday evening or Saturday morning.

The pop-up will last the next two months.
