Portuguese food truck, Bem Bom (Facebook) has been working on the future home of their brick and mortar restaurant Audubon Park since June of last year. We wrote about it HERE.

The restaurant will be located in the former BB&T Bank at 3101 Corrine Drive [GMap], which is going to go under extensive renovations, expected to cost roughly $260,000.

The owners of Bem Bom have applied for a deferred loan with the City of Orlando through their Small Business Facade Program. The City offers matching loan funds to offset certain expenses like wall repair, clearning, window repair, awnings, lighting, etc., not to exceed $20,000, which is what the Small Business Facade Review Committee is recommending they be awarded.

The building will be receiving new landscaping, exterior painting, stucoo patching, exterior door and framing, patio canopy, and storefront glass.

Bem Bom management is still silent on an estimated opening date.
