The Emeril Lagasse Foundation Kitchen House in College Park has finally opened. We first wrote about the new innovative learning hub HERE in 2015 and again HERE in 2016.

The 3,500 SF Kitchen House (Website) was created as a community hub where Orlando residents could learn about healthy eating in an experiential, seed-to-table, environment. It will host hands-on edible education experiences in its 1,500 SF culinary garden, and test kitchen, throughout the year.

The project was made possible with the support of Florida Hospital, local Chef Kevin Fonzo, and the Orlando Junior Academy, and is estimated to have cost $1.2M.

Lagasse himself attended the opening.

The Kitchen House is located at 26 E. King Street [GMap].
