Art in Odd Places (Website) is back for their third year of putting odd art in places in Downtown Orlando.

The outdoor visual and performance art festival, sponsored by the Downtown Arts District, places a smorgasbord of contemporary installations along Magnolia Avenue for three days, for Orlando residents to interact with and enjoy at their leisure. This year’s fest will take place November 10-12.

The theme for 2017 is “Noise” –

“a sound, especially one that is loud or unpleasant or that causes disturbance,” “irregular fluctuations that accompany a transmitted electrical signal but are not part of it and tend to obscure it,” “talk about or make known publicly.”

Installations can include anything from time-based media, to dance, to sport, to theater. Project consultation is available. For examples, click HERE for the list of 2026 artists and their projects.

Submissions are due Friday, June 10.
