Brooklyn Coffee Shop (Facebook) will be taking over the recently-vacated home of Restaurant ASH in the Mills 50 District.
As we reported in April, HERE, FMI Restaurant Group had decided to find a new tenant for their Mills Avenue-facing space once news came out that Ashley Nickell would be leaving Orlando to work as a private chef.
Eddie Nickell reached out to us late last week to tell us the following:
“Hey guys… Our Mills space, [that] I own has been leased out to a new fun concept… Brooklyn Coffee. A small chain that will feature fast coffee, sandwiches, soups and bagels. Opening soon. We are still seeking a larger location, the mills location had lots of interest and we know this concept will be great in the Mills 50 area.”
The owner of Brooklyn Coffee Company (Website) is Curitiba, Brazil-based, Daniel Carvalho plans to open the new space by the end of the month. The menu will feature coffee from Lineage, as well as a number of  Brazilian dishes.

Editor’s Note: Curitiba, Brazil is one of the most eco-friendly cities in the world, with revolutionary policies in waste managment and multi-modal transit. Click HERE to read more.
