The Downtown Development Board (DDB), via the City of Orlando’s Procurement and Contracts Division, has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the position of the Downtown Orlando Farmers Market Manager.

The Manager is responsible for overall management of the Downtown Orlando Farmers Market; recruitment of vendors, customer relations, and event planning. The market runs roughly 50 weeks per year and features between 80-100 vendors each Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Lake Eola.

The DDB has allocated $100,000 for Market costs this year. That number includes security, park maintenance, marketing, and costs that include Market Manager fee, one off-duty OPD officer, Clean Team services, and City of Orlando Solid Waste services.

The DDB intends to offer an initial two-year term to the selected candidate, which can be extended into consecutive following terms.

Sealed proposals are due by 2 p.m. June 12 and must be submitted to Karen Elzy, Senior Purchasing Agent at the City of Orlando. See the .pdf below for contact information.
