Each year the KaBoom (Website) recognizes cities and towns across the country, for endeavoring to improve public amenities for children, through their Playful City USA program. This year they have acknowledged both Orlando and Winter Park for their efforts, along with 256 other cities.

This news comes on the heals of the announcement that Bill Frederick Park at Turkey Lake received a $20,000 grant for a new fitness trail, as part of the Meet Me At the Park campaign, hosted by the National Recreation and Park Association and the Walt Disney Company. More on that program HERE.
