The City of Winter Park has named the design team for their new 50,000 SF library development; Adjaye Associates and Hunton-Brady Architects. Adjaye Associates will serve as the design leads while Hunton-Brady will serve as the executive architects.

Adjaye Associates‘ principal is none other than Sir David Adjaye, who was recently knighted by Queen Elizabeth II, and named one of the 100 most influential people of 2017 by TIME Magazine.

Adjaye Associates recently designed the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture on the National Mall. They are also responsible for multiple library projects, including the Folkestone Library in Kent, the Francis A. Gregory Neighborhood Library and the William O. Lockridge/Bellevue Library, both of which are in Washington, DC.
