The Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation (Website), via a gift to United Arts (Website), has established the Jerry Hilbrich Arts Leadership Award for “outstanding community leaders who support the arts.”
The award comes with a $5,000 gift that each recipient will then pay forward to an arts and cultural nonprofit of their choice; as long as they’ve been selected as a United Arts Operating Support Grant recipient that year.
Conveniently, the winner of the inaugural award was Gerald “Jerry” Hilbrich, past chairman of the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation and past president of United Arts. He gave his micro-grant award to the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, according to the Orlando Sentinel.
