Now that Eclipse Mania has passed, all of you trendy glass-buyers are looking at those fancy paper goggles and wondering what to do with them. Wonder no longer.

DON’T WASTE, DONATE

Astronomers Without Borders (Website) is looking to take your eclipse glasses off your hands and donate them to schools in Asia and South America, where they will be experiencing their own solar eclipse in 2019.

Obviously there are a lot of schools in those continents that don’t have the resources to pay for a $50 set of glasses from Amazon Prime. AWB’s mission is to provide “astronomy-related education equipment to developing countries” and they are trying to build an inventory of glasses for the next celestial event.

They haven’t released how to donate yet, but hold onto your glasses until they do. We will update this post when that information has been made public.
