UPDATE: The following statement was issued from Emily Rankin, the owner of Florida and Co. earlier today (9/13):

“As of now we still do not have power at East End Market and the areas we are sourcing the seafood from got some rough hits.  In turn we are going to postpone the Local Seafood, Craft Beer & Wine Festival until further notice.  We have way too many unknown variables still.  People were super excited about the event and we plan to do more events like it!”

Florida and Co, the local food eatery at East End Market in Audubon Park, will release their new menu on September 15. As part of the launch, they will be hosting a Local Seafood, Craft Beer, and Wine Festival the week previous, on September 9 from noon to 5 p.m.

The event will feature three local breweries, Talley Vineyards (Website), and Oyster Bob’s Nautical nonsense Traveling Oyster Bar Company (Facebook), the latter of which will be shucking oysters.

There will also be a seafood boil with Florida shrimp and lobsters.

Music in the courtyard will be provided by Lauren Carder from noon-1:30 p.m. and Undine from 2-4 p.m.
