OUC issued a media advisory at 10:30 a.m. Friday, September 15 stating that they currently have 14,000 customers that remain without electricity.

They have restored power to approximately 131,000 customers who lost service during the hurricane. They had announced earlier in the week that most customers would be reconnected by 10 p.m. Friday, September 15, but that has been delayed due to an intense electrical storm that occurred Thursday night.

Crews will be working throughout the weekend to restore individual outages. Customers are asked to check their property to ensure their electrical devices have not been damaged from the storm. If they have, the repairs must be performed by a licensed electrician and inspected by the City or County.
