As announced back in early August, HERE, Hughey Avenue will close on October 2 for over a year to allow for I-4 Ultimate-related construction.
The closure will affect the section of Hughey between Central Boulevard and South Street, on the eastern side of the Amway Center.
The intersections of Church and South Street will remain open for vehicle and pedestrian traffic to cross Hughey Avenue and the surrounding construction via covered pedestrian walkways.
Motorists traveling southbound on Hughey will be required to take a right onto Central, a left onto Division, and a left onto South Street, as shown below.
