Upshot Capital Investors (Website) purchased the former WDBO site in early September for $3.5 million and have recently applied for a demo permit, which is still being processed by the City of Orlando.

WDBO moved into the Art Deco building in 1947 but left in 1986 to move into their current home on John Young Parkway.

The 1.56 acre site is sandwiched between the North Quarter and Ivanhoe Village districts and located just behind the Doubletree by Hilton Orlando at 68 S. Ivanhoe Boulevard [GMap].

No plans have been released yet for the site, but the property’s zoning allows for high intensity development.

The vacant WDBO building is roughly 7,800 SF and the demolition is estimated to cost $45,000, according to paperwork filed with the City.
