UPDATE: October 17, 2017- Lake Alert Issued for Lake Beauty LIFTED
The Streets and Stormwater Division has issued a Lake Alert for Lake Beauty, due to “possible” elevated fecal coliform counts.
A blockage in a sanitary line resulted in roughly 500 gallons of sanitary waste flowing into the street, with approximately half of that escaping into Lake Beauty. Lake Beauty is located just north of the intersection of South Orange Avenue and West Kaley Street.
Residents are advised to cease any activities that involve water contact, including irrigation from the lake, until further notice.
