EDIT: The above photo is for the unlaunched mobile payment app, not the tracking app

“It’s already saved me from missing the bus a couple of times. That’s a big deal when your bus only comes once an hour. Pro tip: the bus locations are a little bit behind, so don’t wait until the last second; give yourself a couple minutes extra.” – LYNX bus user

The Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority, or “LYNX” to her friends, has just released a new real-time bus tracker app.

The free app allows riders to use their phones to see where their bus is and track it before heading to the nearest stop – for the most part, eliminating tedious wait times in the Florida sun.

The app also allows users to save favorite stops, preferred routes, and service announcements.

The app was designed by DoubleMap (Website) which is looking to incorporate mobile booking options for NeighborLink, mobile fare payments, and incident reporting.

  1. I’m not sure if I’m sending this to the right person but anyway. I downloaded the lynx bus tracker app and one day I updated it hoping it would be better but it’s worse the map keeps moving down like that game Crossyroads lol I want the version back!
