All Aboard Florida has applied for a permit to begin construction of the Orlando segment of their new privately-owned and operated Brightline concept. This is the second phase of Brightline construction, the first being service between Miami and West Palm Beach.

The project would see the creation of a new Miami-to-Orlando passenger train with a route to the Orlando International Airport’s upcoming Intermodal Terminal Facility. Other connected cities include West Palm Beach and Fort Lauderdale.

The main track will be built alongside State Road 528.
