Herman’s Loan Office (Website) is a craft cocktail venue located in Downtown Orlando, tucked away in an alleyway behind the Orlando Weekly’s Tinker Building. We first wrote about it HERE in October, 2015.

Justin Sullivan, Managing Partner at V Group Concepts (Website), the company behind Herman’s Loan Office , spoke with Bungalower following the Orlando Weekly‘s announcement about them vacating their Downtown venue. Read that piece HERE.

“[It’s] Pretty straight forward. Our lease at Church (Native, 23, Oak, Herman’s) is up and we could not agree on new terms. We have in fact signed a new lease on a property in Thornton Park that is set to open on 3/1/18 … Downtown has been great to us these last 12+ years but as a group, we are ready to up the concept and get involved in another range of hospitality. That and we are all much older now! Our main properties on Orange Avenue, as well as The Hanson Building are firm and not going anyplace anytime soon.” – Justin Sullivan

Sullivan went on to say that the new concept/space will be “Novelty,” in keeping with the “v” theme found in a number of the V Group’s properties like Vintage, Vyce, and Native. Other businesses managed under the V Group banner include Gitto’s Pizza, Hanson’s Shoe Repair, Bauhaus, Oak Room, Side Bar, and of course Herman’s Loan Office.

The location for the new Thornton Park bar has not been released.

Another bar that was located above Herman’s Loan Office, the Bakery Bar, closed in July.

  1. Who said Herman’s Loan Office is moving to a new location? This is an entirely different concept for The V Group… Totally new place.
