The Junior League of Greater Orlando (Website) has announced that they will close their Bargain Box thrift store at 2010 N. Orange Avenue in Ivanhoe Village [GMap].

The Junior League has been operating thrift shops to supplement their income since 1931, with proceeds from sales benefiting their work with developing women’s civic leadership skills. The organization opened the Bargain Box Resale Shop in Winter Park in the 70s and then moved the store to Ivanhoe Village in 2012.

The news follows a recent trend in Junior League branches across the country who are also closing their thrift shops due to declining sales.

JLGO will host a series of sales throughout February and then close on March 4. They will be relocating their offices to the GAI Building in South Eola on March 1.
