Bem Bom (Facebook Website) has finished their build-out and are simply awaiting their Certificate Of Occupancy to open their first brick and mortar restaurant.

The popular Portuguese-inspired food truck has been working on opening the new location at 3101 Corrine Drive [GMap] in Audubon Park since summer of 2016. The reason for the long buildout is due to the fact that they are converting a bank into a restaurant and there are a number of hoops with the City that must be jumped through for converting a use like that.

We got a quick glance at the space late last week as they were prepping for a special event.

The interior features an abundance of cozy touches like hand-painted Italian tiles, upcycled wine carton wall panels, a service station located in the former alcove where the safe was tucked away, and a custom metal bar.

Bem Bom is expected to open any day/week now, contingent on when they receive their COO approval from the City.
