Toughbiker (Facebook | Website), the crew of cyclists that takes on crazy and challenging urban mountain bike challenges in an ongoing pop-up event series, is hosting a self-defense class on Monday, February 26.

The event is for women only and is limited to 25 participants. It will be hosted by the Orlando Police at their new headquarters at 1250 W. South Street [GMap]. The workshop is geared towards women, with a focus on bicycle safety issues.

You do not have to bring a bike.

A $10 donation will be accepted and donated to “at-risk kids.” Click HERE to secure your spot and register.

Tough Biker was founded by Downtown Bike Officer, Mark Levy, inspired by patrol rides through downtown parking garages. He started to invite youth to participate to stave off at-risk behavior. Tough Biker now teaches children to ride and repair their own bikes.
