An entity named Midtown Opportunities XIIIB, LLC has applied for a Master Plan amendment that would allow them to place a 900-unit, multi-family, mixed-use development on a vacant lot located at 434 N. Orange Avenue [GMap] in Downtown Orlando.
The lot is sandwiched between LYNX Central and the Orlando Urban Trail/Gertrude’s Walk to the west and North Orange Avenue and the Orange County Courthouse to the east.
The plan calls for groundfloor retail, a multi-story parking garage, and some residential.
The proposal is also requesting an intensity bonus that would allow for more units, hence the mixed-use component. The project will go before the Municipal Planning Board on May 15.
The project is currently labeled as “Golden Sparrow.”
That is a pretty boring looking building.
