The Historical Society of Central Florida (Website) has received a grant from the Contigo Fund in the amount of $30,972 in support of their One Orlando Collection Initiative that collects and preserves memorial items related to the Pulse nightclub shooting of 2016.

The One Orlando Initiative has preserved thousands of memorial items from memorial sites across the county, in relation to the Pulse nightclub shootings. The History Center has received two awards for their work on the collection.

The Contigo Fund (Website) is an initiative of the Our Fund Foundation that offers financial assistance to LGBTQ and Latin-x individuals, immigrants, people of color, and those working to end all forms of bigotry in Central Florida. The name comes from the Spanish phrase, estamos contigo, meaning “we’re with you.”
